Privacy policy
Your privacy matters here, from your first visit to your last session. This page explains, in plain language, what this website collects and what happens to it.
Last updated: October 2026
This website, denisezabelcounseling.com, is run by Denise Zabel, MA, LLPC (“I,” “me” or “my”), a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan.
What I collect
- What you send me. When you call or email me, I receive what you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, email address and message.
- Basic visit data. Like most websites, this site collects general information about visits, such as pages viewed, browser type, approximate location and the website that sent you here. This helps me understand which pages are useful. It is not used to identify you.
- Cookies. The site uses a small number of cookies that it needs to work properly and to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How I use it
I use what you send only to reply to you, schedule a consultation and answer your questions. I never sell, rent or trade your information, and I don’t use it for advertising.
Who helps run the site
This site is hosted by WordPress.com, and basic visit counts are provided by Jetpack. Both are run by Automattic, which processes this information on my behalf under its own privacy policy. The site also uses Google Analytics to understand visits in general, with IP addresses anonymized.
Please keep health details out of email
Regular email is not fully secure. Please share only what I need to reach you, plus a sentence or two about what brings you in if you like. We can talk about the rest on our call.
Reaching out through this site does not make you a client and does not start a therapy relationship.
If you become a client
Once we begin working together, your records are protected by HIPAA and Michigan law. You’ll receive a Notice of Privacy Practices when we start, which explains your rights in detail.
Your choices
You can ask me to tell you what you’ve sent through this site, or to delete it, at any time. Just email denise@quantummhwc.com or call (269) 225-6171.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
